FAQ
-
WHO CAN JOIN A TOUR
-
Are your tours designed for children? If so, how much do you charge for kids?
Our tours are generally designed for adults, but your children are always welcome to join our tours. We suggest you discuss the tour with your children and see if they like the idea of joining it in the first place.
If children are 4 or under and are not participating in the food tastings, there is no cost. If they are aged 5-12, the child ticket price applies; if they are aged 13-17, the adolescent ticket price applies.

Are solo travelers welcome? How about couples?
You can book your private experience with us. You can do so by sending us an email request to welcome@epiculiar.tours .
-
Do you run private experiences?
Our experiences are designed as semi-private events as we do limit the size of the group up to 6 guests. If you want a full private experience instead, you can contact us via welcome@epiculiar.tours .

LATE ARRIVALS & CANCELLATIONS
-
What if I am late? Can I get a refund or join another tour?
Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the departure time. If we can’t find you at the meeting place at the starting time, we will wait for up to ten minutes after which we will try to contact you by phone or email, unless we receive a call that you are running late (with the estimated time of arrival). If you are running late more than 20 min after the starting time and you still want to join the tour, please call us to find out where to meet us. If you miss any portion of the tour due to lateness, refunds will not be given, but we can always work something out (e.g. arrange joining another tour).
-
What is Epiculiar cancellation policy?
Within 1 day of your tour or activity date, tickets are fully refundable. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your tour, it will be non-refundable.
-
If the weather conditions are bad, will the tour be cancelled?
The tour will be canceled only if the conditions are truly extreme and if we think it might be harmful to our guests. We usually design our tours taking into account the possibility of bad weather. If we expect bad weather, we will inform you accordingly (e.g. “bring an umbrella”, “bring an extra bottle of water”, “dress appropriately”, etc.).

FOOD QUESTIONS
-
How much food is there?
You can check the amount of food on every tour. We promise you, you won’t leave any tour hungry!
-
What beverages are served on your tours and in your classes?
In addition to the coffee, wine and other alcoholic drinks served during our tours, water (sparkling or natural) is served during all sit down meal times.
-
Do you cater for vegetarians/vegans/lactose intolerant/celiacs? What about allergies?
When you make your booking, we ask what dietary restrictions you have. We do our best to accommodate every preference, restrictions or allergies.
Vegetarians and vegans are welcomed to join our tours, but please take note that in such cases, a limited assortment of dishes should be expected since Greek cuisine focuses on many products you don’t eat. We could, of course, serve some vegan/vegetarian dishes on your demand, but that of course won’t be true representation of the Greek cuisine. We do write this only to avoid any disappointments later and show you what to expect.
Unfortunately, we are unable to make substitutions for individuals with gluten or lactose intolerance. ILI Celiacs (people with gluten allergy) and lactose intolerant people are welcome to join our walks, with a slightly modified and/or limited assortment of dishes.
If you have food allergies or intolerances and decide to try tastings in addition to those that have been specially catered for you, please be aware that you do so at your own risk and the company assumes no responsibility.
-
I don't drink alcohol. Can I get a discount?
No, but we can provide non-alcoholic options.
